From Comics to Book – Review of ‘DarkChylde’ by R. Queen

darkchylde ariel chylde saga
This Halloween I’ve received a copy of DarkChylde from the publisher, and it was yet another one of those books I was super excited to read, especially considering it was based on a comic book series (even though I’ve never read the comics).

Editor Interview – ‘Cirsova Heroic Fantasy & Science Fiction Magazine’

Cirsova magazine
Today I am really excited to be interviewing P. Alexander, the editor for Cirsova Heroic Fantasy & Science Fiction Magazine, an independent self-published SFF anthology magazine focused on pulpy science fiction and fantasy in the style of Jack Vance, Robert E. Howard, Leigh Brackett and Edgar Rice Burroughs. Want to know how it all started?

The Bachelor gone wrong? – Review of ‘The Selection’ by Kiera Cass

‘The Selection’ was quite the popular book a (very long) while ago, but it’s never too late to review it.

Review of ‘Nevernight’ – Jay Kristoff

This is a review of an advanced reader copy which has been provided by NetGalley (thanks NetGalley and the publisher) before the official release of the book. Please note that things might have changed since the book has been officially released.

Interview with James Devo – ‘The Wonder’

james devo the wonder
Award-winning scriptwriter James Devo, born and raised in South London, brings to us the imaginative world of The Wonder. It was a pleasure to have interviewed James, and I am sure you’ll be curious to know more of The Wonder after you read the interview.

Review of ‘Under the Trees’ – Ashley Maker

Under the Trees
Sometimes all you want to do is read a fairy tale, and believe in the good of the world – that good people can win, and that princesses live happily ever after. But make no mistake, Under the Trees is more than that, it carries an empowering message.

I have the pleasure today to share my very positive review of Feast of Fates, the first volume in the series Four Feasts Till Darkness by Christian A. Brown, along with a guest post from the author. I hope you enjoy because I sure did.

Fireblood (Whispers from Mirrowen #1) – Jeff Wheeler

I was pleasantly surprised with this book, and overall I’m impressed that it isn’t rated higher. This book is high-fantasy, supposedly YA-range, and feels refreshingly ‘old school’.

The Reluctant Sacrifice – Kerr-Ann Dempster

Thank you very much to the author for offering me a free copy of her lovely book to review. This is a hidden YA gem.
