Happy New Year, my bookish friends!
I was lucky to have the time off during the holidays, giving me some time to finish some end-of-year reads. In the end, my 2022 in Books was not that impressive; but considering everything else that has been happening, I’m happy I still made the time to do the things I love, such as reading. To me, this was a success.

The book I rated the highest was “The Man I Never Met” by Elle Cook, and the highest rated by Goodreads was the comics Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons #1.

Meanwhile, I realized I wasn’t reading my paperbacks and pretty hardcover editions nearly as fast as my Kindle ebooks. I got this cute book cushion in an attempt to change that.

I don’t have any new ARCs so my plan is reading books I already own, especially since I got some new ones for Christmas.
These four unread physical books made to the January list, wish me luck!
- Babel, Or the Necessity of Violence by R.F. Kuang
- Legends & Lattes by by Travis Baldree
- The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen
- Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match by Sally Thorne

Good luck with your goals. Those are some beautiful book covers and they sound like great reads. I like that cushion. I hope it helps. Comfort is so important. To read I sit upright on the couch with a pillow behind me, a pillow on my lap where I place the book, armrests on both sides, and usually a cat or two on my lap or surrounding me. Lol. 🙂
Your book cushion is adorable! It doesn’t matter how many books you read. As long as you enjoyed it.
I end up reading my Kindle books more than physical copies too. Hope your book cushion helps you knock out more physical books!
Happy New Year, Nya. Good luck with your reading goals.
I’ve set myself a list to read over the next few months (books carried over from last year) so hopefully I can achieve that soon.
I love your reading pillow. I have one I swear by as well. I still read my Kindle books faster, mainly because I can read without light and my son sleeps in our room lately. But I have a book light so that’s not a good excuse lol
I think finding time to read – any number of books – if it’s what you enjoy is a win! Life is hard these days, no space to not celebrate every win 🙂 Hope you have a great week and start to 2023!
Hope you had a wonderful New Year!
