TBR Thursday #172 min read

Finished reading:

I have been reading many short stories (not only because of the two anthologies I am reading at the moment, but also daily stories I receive in my inbox).

Included in ‘Fragile Things’ by Neil Gaiman, is his American Gods Novella (American Gods #1.5) which I specially enjoyed. I hope there’s a review coming eventually – a short one, of course.

The Monarch of the Glen (American Gods, #1.5)

Other stories I’ve read, and that are not included in the anthologies:

Mr. Know-All by W. Somerset Maugham
Pendulum by Ray Bradbury
A Moonlight Fable by H.G. Wells
Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl
Jemina the Mountain Girl by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Yellow Paint by Robert Louis Stevenson
The Magic Shop by H.G. Wells
Beautiful Boys by Theodora Goss (Lightspeed Magazine, with audio)
Many of these are very well known, and most are classics, so they are on public domain and you can read them for free. I am linking you to the ones that are available to be read for free (above).

What am I reading:

I hate being repetitive, but I am still reading these books – because 1) I am slow; 2) I am still trying to get to the 50k words in NaNoWriMo; and 3) come on, three books! At least, I am almost finishing them!

Fragile Things: Short Fictions & Wonders

Writers of the Future Volume 31

The Unfortunate Decisions of Dahlia Moss

And that’s all for today, I hope you all have a lovely weekend. For those who are doing NaNoWriMo, let’s finish this, ok? We have three days, we can do this. Let me know how you are doing in the comments.

I’ve never read any of Neil Gaiman’s writing. I’ll have to check it out sometime. Your blog looks great!

Thank you very much Lisa, I am very happy to hear that. I’ve only started reading Neil Gaiman now but I am having a very enjoyable experience.

I like the new website design and its much faster navigating around it (shame the old one had to go though).
My book group have recommended Neil Gaiman, so I hope to get around to reading some of his novels soon.

Thank you so much for your comment. The next step, I think, is to switch hosting, as I am still having a few issues, but I agree it has improved a lot. If you get to read some Neil Gaiman’s novels, let me know what you think.
